As expected, Retired General John Kelly, the incoming White House Chief of Staff had Anthony Scaramucci removed from his newly appointed position as Communications Director. Last week, Scaramucci removed Sean Spicer from his position as Press Secretary and had Reince Priebus resign as Chief of Staff. Five days later Scaramucci is out at the request of the new Chief of Staff. Makes you wonder if Scaramucci regrets having Spicer and Priebus replaced now that Priebus replacement, John Kelly, caused him to be removed from his new job as Communications Director.Read more
While some criminals are murderous thugs, in the USA you’re still innocent until proven guilty. Police are not judge and juror, their only job is to protect and serve the public by enforcing the laws and arresting anyone suspected of breaking the laws. Of course not everyone is arrested for breaking a law, it depends what law was broken and the severity of the crime.
For the president to imply he’s OK with police roughing criminals up is inhumane and un American. He may as well go live in a dictatorial, communist country if that’s what he supports.
Looks like Trump may have to unblock his social media critics soon. A Virginia district Judge recently ruled that politicians can’t block critics on social media, especially if their account is being used for political input and opinions. Since the president represents every US citizen he should not block his critics, according to the suit doing so violates their first amendment rights. However, off topic comments can be removed or blocked/hidden. An upcoming court case against Trump will rule specifically on whether Trump can block his critics, but this Virginia court ruling sets a precedent in favor of the first amendment and Trump’s critics.Read more
After months of fighting to keep their baby alive, Charlie Gard has died. The parents of Charlie Gard announced earlier this week that they would not be able to continue the legal fight to keep their nearly one year old son alive. Following examination by US doctors recently, the parents had hope Charlie could be saved by experimental treatment that would give him a 10%-56% chance of improvement. But sadly, after the most recent MRI scan didn’t show the hope they thought they had, Charlie’s parents were left with making the decision to end their legal battle against the UK hospital and courts who felt Charlie had no hope of survival and would not have quality of life. Unfortunately, after months of stalling due to the legal fight, too much time passed to save Charlie’s life. If the hospital and courts would have given the parents a chance to save Charlie back in November 2016, Charlie may still be alive and on his way to a full recovery.Read more

American neurologists were finally able to evaluate baby Charlie Gard in the UK hospital that has been preventing his parents from transferring him to a hospital in the United States for an experimental treatment. The judge who sided with the hospital said he would reverse his decision if the family and Drs could prove the experimental treatment had a chance of helping. After a recent examination by the Dr’s it was determined there is a 10%-56% chance of improving Charlie’s condition. This is more than the 1% chance the UK hospital claimed. Regardless of the hospitals belief and the courts, the parental right to provide life saving treatment should always come first. This week it was announced that Congress has made Charlie Gard a US citizen so that he is free to come to the US for treatment and free of the UK court and socialized medical system. However, the UK courts still have the ultimate decision on whether Charlie can fly to the US with his parents.Read more

Trump likes to say that anything against him is fake news, especially if it comes from unnamed sources. But when Trump “hears” something via Twitter or his supporters create a conspiracy suddenly it’s factual and the mainstream media won’t report the truth because it’s all “fake news” and a conspiracy against Trump by the liberal media and Democrats. Despite Loretta Lynch denying any involvement in issuing visas and having no authority over entry to the United States at airports.Read more
Over the last few months, strategy after strategy deployed by the Republican Party to make good on their seven-year promise to do away with President Obama’s signature healthcare legislation has crumbled. Even with full control of Congress and the presidency, the GOP cannot seem to come up with a health care bill that satisfies the needed number of legislators, much less the public. So on Monday night, when the idea was floated that Congress should simply repeal Obamacare and then worry about figuring out a replacement plan at a later date, people understandably went nuts.
While Democrats continue to oppose any plan the Republicans come up with to fix Obamacare or repeal it, the GOP last two attempts at repealing and replacing Obamacare have failed. In addition, any attempt to fully repeal Obamacare like they voted for in 2015 is no longer viable because of moderate senators like Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, and Senator Capito who refuse to vote for a full repeal bill as promised the past seven years. So as it stands today, the repeal of Obamacare has failed, as has the GOP attempt to replace it. At this point it would be better to let Obamacare fail and the burden be left on the Democrats who voted for it, without any bipartisan support. Eventually, states will have to loosen regulations that don’t allow competition across state lines and tort reforms will need to be made, along with other reforms that help bring premium costs down, along with health care.Read more
