Things aren’t looking too great for Trump and his personal lawyer Michael Cohen, the lawyer who put up the hush money to keep Stormy Daniels, the porn star Trump allegedly had an affair with 10 years ago, silent days before the 2016 election.
While Special Counsel Robert Mueller continues the Russia collusion and obstruction investigation, his office referred the federal prosecutors in New York to obtain a search warrant to raid the law office of Michael Cohen.
It’s unclear if this is related to the Mueller investigation, but it could be related to the Stormy Daniels case since Cohen admitted to paying her $130,000.00 before Trump was elected. Trump has denied knowing anything about it and denies any affair. Reports indicate this raid may be related to FEC violations and the possible payment to other women.
Stephen Ryan, a lawyer for Cohen, said federal prosecutors in Manhattan had obtained a search warrant after a referral from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible links to Trump’s presidential campaign.
