The stars were out in force for London Fashion Week as the designers of the moment presented their Spring/Summer 2018 collections in the British capital on Saturday.
Drawing in many of the big names to model his designs, Matty Bovan saw his upcoming collection brought to life by the likes of Winnie Harlow, Hailey Baldwin and Georgia May Jagger as they kicked off day two of the five-day style event.
Meanwhile, ensuring they’d stand out on the FROW were the likes of Daisy Lowe and Hailey Baldwin as they slipped into an array of chic and colorful looks throughout the day.
Eye-catching! Designer Matty Bovan saw his upcoming collection brought to life by the likes of Winnie Harlow, Georgia May Jagger and Hailey Baldwin for his Spring/Summer 2018 showcase at day two of London Fashion Week on Saturday
Blooming lovely: Ensuring they’d stand out on the FROW were the likes of Daisy Lowe and Hailey Baldwin as they slipped into an array of chic and colorful looks throughout the day
Kicking off the festivities at the Matty Bovan show, Winnie Harlow, 23, cut a striking appearance, as she stepped out sporting a dramatic make-up look, that saw her eyes outlined with a cobalt blue pigment, and a vibrant catwalk ensemble.
The eye-catching make-up look saw Winnie boast enviably long lashes atop her painted lids that were framed with blue and black markings.
The colorings made sure to complement the fashion star’s catwalk getup, as she was seen modeling a vibrantly patterned blouse, that boasted dramatic puff sleeves, and contrasting knit skirt.
The red and white number featured an unusual cut-out design that teased a look at Winnie’s honed pints underneath, thanks to its daring thigh-high split at the center.
She paired it with glittering knee-high socks and trainers splashed with paint, while toting a frayed monochrome bag in one hand.
The eccentric display showcased some of the designs from fashion designer Matty Bovan’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection – who’s previous offerings have included a significant focus on a knot, along with deliberately clashing colors and textures.
Bovey has previously worked with fashion houses Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Miu Miu and had been select to debut his work at London Fashion Week as part of the Fashion East initiative.
It sees a high-profile panel of industry experts select designers to showcase and has been known to introduce exciting new names into the industry, with its previous successes including House of Holland, Louise Gray, Richard Nicoll and Simone Rocha.
Sensational: Hailey, 20, meanwhile, dazzled in a striking purple number that draped off of one shoulder and teased a look at her lengthy pins underneath
Stylish: The unusual dress paired together clashing fabrics and a woven semi-sheer mesh skirt that accentuated Hailey’s lithe frame
Stunning: The modeling beauty’s statement eye make-up comprised of a black and white design that highlighted her flawless complexion
Winnie, who first shot to fame on the 21st season of America’s Next Top Model, looked sensational in Bovey’s upcoming collection and oozed confidence while modeling the very distinctive look.
She had been diagnosed with vitiligo around the age of four and has gone on to become a spokesperson for the condition, frequently speaking out about the topic.
Despite her insecurities as a child, the starlet hasn’t let the condition hold her back and is highly considered as one of the most in-demand models of the moment.
Chic: Meanwhile, sartorially savvy Alexa Chung, 33, was spotted sitting front row at the JW Anderson showcase
The presenter and model radiated her usual fashion-forward vibes as she sat FROW at the JW Anderson show, showing support for the designer by wearing one of his pieces.
Alexa opted for a leather shirt featuring a Victoriana inspired ruffle collar. The leather material gives it a statement edge but Alexa counterbalanced this with low-key jeans and boots to create a cool contrast.
Leather skirts, jackets and trousers have long been staples in every fashionista’s wardrobe but leather shirts and tops are enjoying a spell in the limelight at the moment too, just like the puff sleeve Saint Laurent style that’s doing the rounds on the celeb circuit right now. We love this fresh way to wear our favorite rock chick material.
